| My philosophy is this.... I gave birth to these children and I want to raise them and teach them. This is why I decided to become a mother, it was not to have them go off to school for 7 1/2 hours, 5 days a week and have someone else raise and teach my children. I love teaching them and watching them grow with knowledge. I love learning some things right along side of them. I love having them learn things they will use in their every day lives. These are some of the reasons why I Home school. Home school is not always fun and games. It is one of the hardest things I have ever done, yet it is one of the most rewarding things also. |
| The question that always come to pass is... Why did we decide to Homeschool? The answer to this question is, because we love our children. That is not saying those who place their children in public school are less loving to their children. We have found that by putting our children into public school, our children who are gifted, fell to where the average student was. Our two oldest children went to public school from kindergarten and were considered top in their class. For a couple of years they both were above average yet as time went by and they continued to stay in public school, they became average in their work. Now my two youngest children never went to public school and both have excelled in most subjects. All of our children started to read by the time they were 5 years old. The then second grader was doing 3&4 grade math. I am very please with my children and how hard they push themselves. |
