I learned that some can die and that
some came out of the eggs. You have
to turn every single egg about 9 times
each day.

Here are what some children say about their experience hatching eggs.
I learned to never leave the water where the
chicks and ducks can drown.  If you don't
candle the egg you don't know what kind of
eggs you have, and if you don't know and
the egg breaks and it stays in there to long
and you think it pipped then it could rot.
When you candle you need a place that is
dark and you need an egg and put it over a
light and you can see inside to see if it is a
bad egg or a good egg.  If you look close
enough you can see the chick or duck
moving around inside the egg.

I learned that humitity and the temperature has to be just
right, otherwise the bird will die.  Before you close up the
incubator for 3 days, you need to make sure the temperature
will be stable.  You should candle the eggs about once a week.
If you are going to candle all the eggs you can only leave them
out no longer than half an hour.  If there is any bad eggs that
has a dead bird or nothing but a blood ring you need to throw
the egg away.  Before you start incubating you need to know
how long it will take for the egg to incubate and you should
always keep a log book or a candendar so that you know when
the chicks will start hatching.  Some times you can hear the
birds making noise  when they start pipping and when you
candle them you can see them moving around.  For atleast 12
hours after birds have hatched you need to leave them in the
incubator until they dry.  You need to feed the birds between 24
to 48 hours after they hatch , not before.
